“The Senate voted 58-40 on Tuesday to strip $1.75 billion for seven more F-22 fighters from a military authorization bill, handing President Obama a crucial victory in his efforts to reshape the military’s priorities.”
I think this is a good move. We need to cut spending wherever we can, and fiscal conservatism applies to military spending too. Especially when our largest threat is no longer Russia, and our current planes are still the best in the world.
