In class today, my teacher was talking a little about Pruitt Igoe, which was a public housing project in St. Louis in the 60’s. It never was very succesful and was apparently almost a warzone before too long. It’s demolition in 1972 is said to be the nail in the coffin of Modernism.
Personally, I think it showed just how incapable the Government is of remedying social problems.
